This was one of Simon's first hits after the first separation from Art Garfunkel, and it's one of his catchiest songs ever. When I was a kid, I thought Simon was singing "Mama don't take my coat and comb away," but then when I bought the single I was set straight. There really isn't much to say that hasn't been said before, but basically Paul Simon is one of the greatest songwriters in pop history, and is voice is as recognizable as any in music.
