Piano-playing indie rocker/singer/songwriter dude Ben Folds burst out of obscurity with the release of this album in 1998 when modern rock radio played the crap out of the single, "Brick." If that's what it took to get me to become a fan, so be it. This album is one of my all-time faves by Folds and his "Five" or by anyone for that matter. It's got just the right amount of indie charm to mix with its listenability, and the arrangements on every song are stellar.
