This is one of my favorite albums from last year, and I remember first putting it in the CD player and having that "holy crap" feeling like I just discovered greatness. The first two songs on this album are particularly amazing. It's just pure, simple, yet powerful piano-driven pop/rock.

I loved this song when it came out, but it took a few years for it to show up on iTunes. When it did, I grabbed it. Killer song, and even more killer guitar work, as you might suspect from this living legend.

Marwa Blues

I recently reviewed a retrospective album by the great George Harrison, and in addition to many forgetting what a great songwriter he was, many also might forget what an incredible guitar player he was too. This song proves the latter, big-time. Check it out if you haven't heard it yet.
